Digital Retina Camera

With our high resolution digital retinal camera we are able to capture details of the retina which can't be seen with the naked eye.

Images of the retina are stored and compared over time. This allows us to detect changes associated with sight threatening conditions much easier and quicker than ever before.

Visual Fields Analyser

The Visual Fields Analyser is a computerised test that checks the health of the optical nerve from inside the eye, all the way back through to the visual cortex of the brain.

It is extremely accurate at detecting damage caused by glaucoma, and we have even detected the presence of neurological problems like pituitary gland tumours.

Corneal Topographer

A Corneal Topographer is a machine that takes a snapshot of the patients eye. It is comprised of a bowl with a pattern of lighted rings inside it, and a computer. Corneal topography is a non-invasive computerised imaging technique used to map the curvature of the cornea, the outer focusing structure of the eye. It is completely painless, and very fast.

The cornea is responsible for a large proportion of the eye's refractive power and its topography is critically important to the quality of vision. The 3-D image we get through topography helps us diagnose and treat eye conditions such as "kerataconus" and also assist in planning for Corneal Refractive Therapy or Ortho-K.
